Deck and Engine Officers Licence

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Deck and Engine Officers Licences are issued by the Federal Transport Authority - Land and Maritime (FTA). These licences are required for individuals who wish to work as officers on board ships registered under the UAE flag.

The FTA issues several types of Deck and Engine Officers Licences, including:

1)  Master's Licence: This licence is required for individuals who wish to serve as the captain of a ship.

2)  Chief Officer's Licence: This licence is required for individuals who wish to serve as the second-in-command on a ship.

3)  Second Officer's Licence: This licence is required for individuals who wish to serve as a navigational officer on a ship.

4)  Chief Engineer's Licence: This licence is required for individuals who wish to serve as the head of the engineering department on a ship.
